God has called our family to a specific area in St. Louis County, MO. With a population of over 1,000,000 people, St. Louis County is the most populated county in all of Missouri. There are over 100 municipalities in St. Louis County. Many of these locations are growing and are in great need of Bible Believing, Fundamental Baptist Churches. 48% of the people who live in this area do not attend church anywhere, representing nearly 500,000 unchurched people. Less than 8% of people in St. Louis County attend a baptist church of any kind. Most of those who do attend church attend Catholic or non-denominational churches.

God has called us to plant an Independent Baptist Church on the west side of St. Louis County in the city of Chesterfield, MO. Chesterfield is a city of nearly 50,000 people. This city has seen great growth over the past 15 years. This developing community, is known for its recreation, shopping, dining, and lodging, but it needs a church. It needs a church with a gospel witness that will present Christ to them, and then help them grow in their relationship with God.

The need to plant solid independent baptist churches has never been greater than it is today. Every week nearly 50 churches in America close their doors never to open them again. America is now home to almost 200,000,000 unchurched people. That makes our nation the fourth largest unchurched nation in the world- just behind China, India, and Indonesia.

Our burden is “To make known to the sons of men, His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His Kingdom.” Ps. 145:12

The Lord has made it clear to us that He wants us to take the things that we have learned from serving with the First Baptist Church of Milford and share them with others.

II Timothy 2:2 says, “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”

We desperately ask that you would pray with us, as the Apostle Paul asked the church at Colosse to pray- “Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ…” (Col. 4:2-3)

Would you prayerfully consider what God might have you do to contribute to this new church plant? We are excited about the call that God has given us to plant the Riverside Baptist Church in Chesterfield, MO. We expect Him to do great things!
